I can add to this extent: As an assistant U.S. attorney many years ago when we deported aliens who were here. and had originally entered under the bracero program. the Immigration people always went to the place of business of the employer and checked his books and records and saw to it that the alien. when he went to the border to go home. was paid up to date. and he could take his shoes with him and he could take his personal possessions with him and. in fact. when he went across the border he went back with whatever he had earned.
