MILLS of Maryland. and MALLARY opposing this bill as unwarranted. costly. and likely to open the floodgates of a host of other Federal employees who can equally argue for similiar retirement treatment. These Members recommend that rather than approach this subject on a piecemeal basis. as has been the practice in the past. the committee should thoroughly restudy the entire subject of preferential early retirement. Mr. Speaker. I personally have been friendly with the customs and immigration inspectors since back in 1936. when I was a member of the FBI. I have great respect for them. I have worked with many of them time and time again.
