Session #92 · 1971–73

Speech #920248614

Mr. Speaker. I welcome the opportunity to speak in praise of our native born and naturalized Japanese American citizens. We are all aware of the sacrifices under arms in defense of our country these people have made and we are all aware of the sacrifices In rights. dignity and possessions many have made in the past. and I do not refer solely to the period of World War II. Their industriousness. patience. forbearance. and yet determination in seeking redress of wrongs. does credit to us all as Americans. I speak with specific knowledge of some Japanese Americans residing in my Third Congressional District as well as Colorado in general.
