Julia has been separated from her father because of his desire to emigrate to Israel. She has not been allowed to receive information on her Jewish heritage due to restrictions imposed by the Soviet Government. Her family has fought desperately to be reunited only to have all efforts blocked by Soviet authorities. The father of one. child. Dr. Michael Epelman. is beginning a hunger strike today in frort of UNICEF headquarters in Geneva.
