Mr. Speaker. on Wednesday. April 19. the Greater Philadelphia National Conference of Christians and Jews unanimously adopted a resolution which asks the Soviet Government to end Its persecution of the Jewish people and other minority peoples living in the Soviet Union. The conference. in taking this action. wishes the U.S. Government to use appropriate diplomatic means to encourage the Soviet leaders to permit free exercise of religion and emigration. I commend NCCJ for its independent effort made for those people living in the Soviet Union. For the benefit of my colleagues. I submit the full text of the resolution for insertion into the RECORD:
