Mr. Speaker. I merely want to congratulate the gentleman from New York for this resolution. and also to comment that within the past week I have been in France and have had the opportunity of meeting with some people very much involved with the problems of the Soviet Jews. They point out very clearly to me the fact that there is a quota system now in the universities affecting the Jews. limiting them to 10 percent of the universities. and there are no Jewish newspapers allowed and there are no rabbinical schools. I think this speaks very much to some of the issues being suggested by this resolution. and I certainly support it and congratulate the gentleman for it.
