Funds for international organizations and programs were raised from $41 million in the House version to $127 million. including up to $86 million for the United Nations development program for which the House had approved nothing. Funds for programs relating to population growth were raised from $50 million in the House version to $125 million. Funds for refugee relief assistance in East Pakistan were raised from $175 million in the House version to $200 million. And development loans were raised from $150 million in the Senate version to $200 million. as compared with $250 million in the House version. In conclusion. while this bill falls some $900 million short of the administrations request.
