I find it difficult to understand how anyone could have believed otherwise. I agree with Secretary of State Rogers that the United Nations "will be damaged" by this action. I believe the United Nations has made some useful contributions to world peace in the past and has provided valuable services to the poor. the sick and the refugees of our world. But its potential for good will be seriously undermined by the presence of a new disruptive force like Red China. More importantly. this action results in a potential for serious danger to the United States. for we. are now in the position of having to accept into our country a mission from this dedicatedly communist nation.
