U.S. Senators and Representatives. lawyers. social workers. teachers and scholars. artists and architects. the diplomatic corps. and the medical profession all attest to the true potential of these American citizens. As with cultures brought by other immigrants to these shores. Americans have absorbed HispanicMexican ideas. art. and customs. changing them to fit the American way of life. In recent times many people have rediscovered the richness of the HispanicMexican inheritance in our own backyard.
