This program depicted the difficulties Puerto Ricans daily encounter in finding adequate housing. meaningful employment. proper education. in achieving equality with other American citizens. and in enjoying simple human dignity. Puerto Ricans are the newest immigrants and. historically. we are experiencing the greatest difficulty in being assimilated into the American way of life.
