Session #91 · 1969–71

Speech #910272517

I think the Senator from Kansas has already posed two previous questions that have not been answered in his colloquy. I would like to go back to them first. The Senator from Kansas indicated first what would happen to those who might have to seek asylum or who would have to leave Saigon. Let me point out that we have had previous occasions when people have had to leave Vietnam because of a turnover or change of administration or regime. I do not have to cite the fact that Madam Ngu said that she felt it was vital for the safety of her life that she leave Vietnam after the fall of Diem.
