Mr. Barnett Labowttz. recently wrote me: The U.S. should continue to counsel Israel in its use of military power. to generosity and humanity in its relations with the Arabs who live in the occupied territories. its concern for Arab refugees. No friend of Israel would wish other advice to be given. Military strength. generosity. and humanitythat is the formula for lasting peace in the Middle East.
