Speaker. this morning the House Commerce Committee passed several measures which should be acted on this session. Most of the bills were bills to extend or renew legislation which is already on the books. For instance. one bill was to extend the authority to make formula grants to schools of public health. a bill to extend the program of assistance for health services for domestic migrant agricultural workers. a bill consenting to the extension and renewal of the interstate compact to conserve oil and gas. and other important bill was to amend the community mental health centers to extend the program of assistance under that act for community health centers and facilities for the treatment of alcoholics and narcotic addicts. I know that the chairman of the Rules Committee and his committee would want to take action on these bills. Some of the measures have actually and technically terminated. and these bills must be passed.
