Speech #910094248

Euclid. Ohio. in the congressional district which I represent. The home. also called the American Yugoslav Center. has served for 50 years as a meetingplace for Americans and their children who immigrated to this country from Slovenia and Yugoslavia and who wished to remember and promote the traditions and culture of their homeland and the homeland of their ancestors. For a half a century the home has been a center for fraternal orders and cultural clubs. which. by their activities. have added immeasurably to the cultural variety and life of the Greater Cleveland community. I would like to commend all the members of the home and its associated lodges and fraternities for their contribution to the Cleveland community and its culture.
