Traditionally. the ownership and con. trol of land has been one of the basic rights and freedoms of this Nation o! ours. The early immigrants came across the seas because they had the right to own and control their own land and homes. This has been the basic stimulus for the defense of our country. Today. under consideration. we have a proposal to tear down this great basic freedom.
