Few if any countries can point to similar achievements in the face of adversities and difficulties of the magnitude of those which have faced and continue to face the people of Israel. I am sure that all Americans join me and my colleagues in wishing continued success to Israel as she seeks to mold a stronger and even more united country. Her absorption of hundreds of thousands of immigrants from many different cultural areas is a definite example of how people can overcome differences of origin for the benefit of the country as a whole. Yesterday my home city of Philadelphia. Pa.. celebrated Israels birthday through a special program which took place in the playhouse in the park.
