Speaker. today if I did not say to each Member of the Congress that the conferees did what I believe to be an outstanding job. and in the best interests of the country. The gentleman from New York has always been at the forefront in this battle. I may say. however. that this House should understand that the gentleman from Ohio has done a tremendous job in marshaling the committee together into many. many executive sessions to consider this matter and. if I may say so. he has done this for the sole purpose of bringing about remedial legislation in* the field of immigration. I believe the gentleman from Ohio has done a tremendous job in this area. and I believe it merits the sincere support of all Members of the House of Representatives.
