I thank the Senator for his very clear answer. I want the RECORD to show that the many people from my State who have complained to me about this matter are correctly informed. As I understand it now. all nations on earth. including our mother nations of Western Europe. including the emerging nations of Africa. including the subcontinent. including the oriental nations. including Latin America. and including Canada. are placed on exactly the same basis because they are nations. and their people would be on exactly the same basis in hoping to come into our country as immigrants to join our own population. I believe that there could not be a clearer statement of that fact than the statement made by the Senator. While he has made it with considerable fervor.
