We are a nation of people devoted more to the future than preservation of what has gone before. We have drawn upon the history of every nation and people to form our country and shape our thoughts. but we have gone beyond them all to mold a single. distinct culture. The bill before us now promises greater opportunity for all of us to benefit from the thoughts. ideas. and desires of the rest of the world. As a nation we shall benefit far more from the removal of the national origins test than will any single immigrant. or all of them together. Fears that this bill is an "Open. Sesame" are unfounded.
