Mr. Speaker. on Friday. January 15. 1965. there appeared an editorial in the Chicago Sun Times on President Johnsons message to the Congress on the revision of the present immigration law. I would like to take this opportunity to commend the great Chicago Sun Times for editorializing and taking a positive position on one of the most important problems facing America today. The repeal of the 40yearold national origins quota system of the immigration law is long overdue. Every President since President TrumanPresident Eisenhower. the late President Kennedy. and now President Johnson has unveiled our immigration policy as sordid before the eyes of the world. In this connection. and under :eave to extend my remarks in the appendix. I include an editorial which appears in the Chicago Sun Times on Friday.
