They are simply considered to be good Americans. The Poles. as a nation. are a proud people and enjoy a rich and splendid heritage. Their love for freedom and liberty has been carried over to the American shores by the great number of immigrants who came here to seek a better way of life for themselves and their families. They do not resent the fact that some people have been able to make more rapid strides in developing their economic status. they know full well that some individuals can and do obtain economic and social gains more rapidily than others. However. they are constantly endeavoring. like any other American. to properly do all they can to better the standard of living and their position in our American society. and thus make greater contributions to the general wellbeing of the community in which they live.
