Session #88 · 1963–65

Speech #880087983

President. recently the Order of Ahepa. the largest fraternal organization of GreekAmericans. held their 41st Supreme Convention in San Diego. Calif. One of the significant actions taken at the meeting was the adoption of a resolution supporting S. 1932. the bill I introduced to carry out President Kennedys proposal to eliminate the national origins quota system from our immigration laws. The magnificent contributions made to the United States by citizens of Greek birth and by their descendants are evident in all corners of our land. No voice could speak more eloquently of the need and the value of the proposed changes in our immigration laws than the Order of Ahepa. I ask unanimous consent that the resolution of the Supreme Convention of the Order of Ahepa be printed in the RECORD.
