Mr. Speaker. under leave to extend my remarks in to insert at this point an editorial which appeared in this mornings New York Times. entitled "Protecting the Migrant." The article calls attention to the fact that the Senate last week approved a 1year extension of the Mexican farm labor importation program. despite the fact that this House over 2 months ago defeated an effort to extend the program. As recommended by the Times. the importation of braceros to the detriment of our own migratory workers should terminate when the current law dies at the end of this year. The editorial follows:
