I am proposing that the Secretary of the Treasury be authorized by the Congress to strike and furnish to the New York City National Shrines Advisory Board. as desired by that official group. a socalled Liberty Series of three different commemorative historic medals. The three national historic shrines involved are. namely: Federal Hall National Memorial. Castle Clinton National Monument. and Statue of Liberty National Monument American Museum of Immigration. The New York City National Shrines Advisory Board was created by act of Congress in 1955 to consist of 11 members appointed by the Secretary of the Interior. Its official report was made to the then Secretary of the Interior. the Honorable Fred A.
