In all good faith. he entered Idaho State College. feeling sure that his application would be approved. This was not the case. His application was returned to him by the Immigration and Naturalization Service as unaccepted because he had not arrived in the United States prior to April 1948. as required by the act. Consequently. the Immigration Service had no other course to follow than to start deportation proceedings. At this point this young mans case was brought to Senator DwoRsHAKs attention and. because of the very strong recommendations concerning the young mans intelligence and ability. his earnestness of purpose. and good character and dependability. Senator DWORSHAX introduced a private bill for his relief.
