I have said before. and repeat today. that I think Mackie should have been kept in the United States. Since he was not. I think he should be brought back to the United States. He should be placed under the strictest of surveillance. Do not tell me. Mr. President. that we do not have the law enforcement agencies which can keep under surveillance our Mackies. if we assume that William Mackie. in fact. is a Communist. The deportation of William Mackie to Finland is a good example of mans inhumanity to man. He had not been there since he was 10 months old. He has no connections in Finland.
