Mr. Speaker. there are presently in the United States many Cuban citizens who have fled their homeland in the face of Castros oppressions. Included among these refugees are a number of Cubans attending colleges and universities who need assistance in order to continue their studies. President Kennedy in March of this year announced the extension of loans to these students to enable them to pursue their education at the colleges or universities they are presently attending. House Concurrent Resolution 209 simply endorses the action of the President and asks that the operation of this program be continued and that it be known as University Free Cuba.
