Mr. Speaker. may I say further to the gentleman that one reason why I with some reluctance for some time have supported this program is because I do recognize that there is a need. or at least it has been continually stated to me that there is a need. for this Mexican stoop labor. But I am still unwilling to accept the fact that we cannot give more protection to the imported Mexican laborers. and particularly more protection to our U.S. migrant farm laborers. Merely to extend this act. without consideration of connected problems that must be faced is not adequate or responsible action. I thank the gentleman.
