I thank the very distinguished Senator for his very kind words. The AsiaticPacific triangle has 2.000 of the 154.000 immigrants. In other words. in this part of the world. which controls over onehalf of the worlds population. we say that out of 154.000 immigrants we will allow 11/3 percent from this area. Mr. President. that is 11/3 percent of the great AsiaticPacific triangle. which constitutes more than onehalf of the worlds population. Then we say to each country that it will get a quota of only 100 immigrants. and if there are more than 20 quota areas each will not even be given a quota of 100 immigrants. When we talk about the riots in Japan. and the antiAmerican feeling in these areas. we are talking about things such as this. This is deep down in the hearts of the people.
