This committee recorded very vividly the duplicity of Soviet Russia when in June 1940 it invaded Lithuanian territory without any provocation by and against the wishes of the Lithuanian people. Since that time. Lithuania has been converted into a Soviet vassal state. Many of her citizens have been deported or murdered and many atrocious crimes were committed by the Soviets for the purpose of deliberately destroying the Lithuanian nation. It is to the great credit of that nation that the spirit of freedom still exists there and it behooves us in the free world to do whatever we can to see to it that justice is done to this great nation.
