He was a worthy son of a great father. His father. Hon. Horatio Clifford Claypool. had served as a Democratic Representative from Ohio in the 62d. 63d. and 65th Congresses. Also a cousin of Mr. Claypools father. Hon. John Barney Peterson. of Crown Point. Ind.. served in Congress as a Democratic Representative in the 63d Congress. During the 75th Congress. Mr. Claypool served on the Committees on Immigration and Naturalization. Mines and Mining. and World War Veterans Legislation. In the 76th and 77th Congresses he held membership on the Committees on Expenditures in Executive Departments.
