I would like to call to the attention of the gentleman that our committee is recommending the amount requested by the President for that item. In addition. I would like to call attention to the fact that we are recommending the full amount of the requests for the United Nations refugee fund. the escapee program. the United Nations childrens fund. the United Nation Relief and Work agency. -the ocean freight. and the Control Act. There has usually been considerable controversy over some of these items. but we thought they merited the amounts requested. The committee did not cut them 1 dollar.
