I have just asked the distinguished Senator from Massachusetts whether he will permit me to join him in the sponsorship of the bill. in view of my interest in immigration measures. He has kindly acceded to that request. I am delighted to be able to associate myself with the sponsorship of the bill. Its provisions are much needed. It is our hope that action on the bill will be expedited. Enactment of the bill will mean a forward step in the field of immigration legislation.
