Mr. Speaker. there are many stories of immigrants to this country who worked diligently and rose to positions of importance. Among those who came to this country as a child and learned the meaning of democracy and freedom. who used to the benefit of his adopted country the knowledge he gained in the public schools of New York City. was David Sarnoff. The following editorial which appeared in the East Side News on 66th birthday of General Sarnoff aptly indicates the caliber of the man. It is a true to life Horatio Alger story. I commend it to my colleagues:
