Indeed. we have no assurance that a policy will be evolved. or whether we will continue to stumble from crisis to crisis. We are all awarepainfully awareof the troubling issues of this troubled crossroads of the world. Equitable and statesmanlike solutions must be evolved with respect to the Suez crisis. the ArabIsrael tensions. and the refugee problems. This resolutionand the testimony presented in its supportoffer no program for the solution of these issues. But more than that. there is not exhibited an awareness that the problems of the Middle East are part and parcel of the problems the United States confronts throughout the world.
