Bills are pending in the House which would correct some inequities inadvertently created by the McCarranWalter Act. In an attempt to find a solution. in an attempt to find a meeting ground. the majority leader some time ago asked the staff of the policy committee to review the situation with the members of the staff of the House committee. Subsequently the subject was reviewed with the distinguished chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary. in order to shape our thoughts. our views. and our proposals in this field.
