They built her and she is theirs. Ours is a land of brotherhood. An American knows that wherever he is. he has a mighty big country and a great many friends back home. An American in trouble is never alone. but has a lot of people helping him. because hes no stranger. hes one of us. But what about the immigrants on those boats. are they one of us? They are. AmerIoa is a land of immigrants. and they are as much a part of her as we are. for without them. there would be no America. Will they understand that? Perhaps not.
