As I pointed out a while ago during the course of the debate on the rule waiving points of order against this bill. the total requests for the Department of State. the Department of Justice. the Judiciary. the United States Information Agency. and Refugee Relief. amounted to $598.169.820. The committee saw fit to cut these appropriation estimates submitted by President Eisenhower to the extent of $56.802.448. In doing so. the committee allowed the amount of $46.794.137 above the current level. $24.258.042 of this money is with regard to the Department of State.
