Mr. Stevensons own party. in all that time. made no attempt to change the principles of the nationalorigins quota system. even while Mr. Stevenson was one of the high officials in our State Department during the 1940s. Is it possible that Mr. Stevenson. like Rip Van Winkle. has been asleep all of these years and all of a sudden feels that his entire party has been wrong and .he is the only one who can cover himself with the mantle of righteousness?
