That section 101 (a) (6) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (66 Stat. 163. U. S. C.. title 8. sec. 1101) is amended by striking out the words "a resident" and the words "for permanent residence" and inserting after the word "territory" in the two places it appears. the words "or adjacent islands".
