As a result of that message. three bills were introduced and are now pending before the subcommittee of which I am chairman. They are S. 1794. S. 2113. and S. 2149. Extensive hearings have been held before my subcommittee. and it is anticipated that a bill of some kind will be reported in the near future. In the meantime. I shall continue to submit facts and figures based on the present administration of the law. Mr. President. I ask unanimous consent to have printed at this point in the RECORD a statement relating to the status of visa applications under the refugee relief program as of June 24. 1955.
