Session #83 · 1953–55

Speech #830272102

I am. of course. indebted to you for your keen personal interest in the matter at hand as I am of the opinion that such success as we may have will be attributable in large measure to those Members of Congress who have this problem foremost in their thoughts. I have also requested a report from Rev. Rev. Msgr. Edward E. Swanstron. chairman of the committee on migration and refugee problems of the American Council of Voluntary Agencies for Foreign Service. Inc.. but that has not come to hand. I will continue my efforts. first. to ascertain the results of the administration of this important law. and second. to make recommendations as to how it may most successfully be administered.
