I have introduced today a bill amending section 349 (a) (9) of the Immigration and Nationality Act so as to provide for the loss of United States citizenship by persons who are convicted of participating in a conspiracy to overthrow the Government of the United States. or of other acts of treason. Section 349 of the Immigration and Nationality Act governs the matter of loss of United States nationality by nativeborn or naturalized citizens. alike.
