Mr. President. what the solution to the problem may be. or even if there is a solution on the horizon. I do know. however. that if this country is to maintain its position of leadership in the world and to serve the cause of peace it is essential that we act and act promptly in the interest of international friendship and understanding for the people of the Middle East whose objectives of freedom. peace. and world order. are being impaired by the plight of the Palestinian Arab refugees.
