The best we can do is to perform our part well and trust that our successors will do the same. How can we do otherwise? We have no right to assume that we have a monopoly on the wellbeing of our country. We have no right to say that our brothers after us will not be as anxious to guard against indiscriminate and wholesale immigration as we are.
