General Marshall said that Premier Stalin told him that what he wants is delaythat there is no hurry about settling Europes problems. He wants Europe. which is hungry and destitute. to get no help from America. to get no state of security and order. The U. S. S. R. for example is absolutely opposed to any action to take care of the refugees and DPs. they say. send them back to the countries they came from. even to those countries where they are sure to be persecuted for their political opinions. Why? Because no settlementdespair. discord. miseryall those things play into the hands of a communism which promise relief to such unfortunates.
