Chairman. I yield myself 1 more minute in order to answer certain statements. Statements have been made to the effect that there are thousands of refugees coming in here. I think that is an unfair statement. There was a statement made to the effect that there were thousands of aliens coming in. That is unfair. because in the last 5 or 6 years ninehundredandsomeodd thousand were kept out of this country. and instead of the 150.000 or 160.000 quota for last year. only about 28.000 numbers were used up. There are no thousands of refugees coming in. and it is not proper or fair to the lot of these people who are helping us in this war effort to charge them with being undesirable and not entitled to be here. The people who are here as refugees are here under a permit to come here for business purposes. I think the injection of that bugaboo story of a lot of refugees flooding this country is unfair in considering this legislation.
