Mr. Speaker. this is a rule for the consideration of the bill H. R. 388. which makes a very slight change in the immigration laws. The bill was reported unanimously by the Committee on Immigration and Naturalization. I know of no objection to the bill. The purpose of it is to shorten. to some extent. the time that a person born outside of the United States. -one of whose parents is a citizen of the United States. may retain his citizenship. I should like to know if the minority desire that I yield any time? It is my purpose to move the previous question.
