Speech #780177501

Mr. President. I wish merely to take a moment of the Senates time. in following the remarks made by the distinguished Senator from Colorado . to add my protest against the British white paper. which will completely stop Jewish immigration into Palestine on and after next Sunday unless before then the policy be changed. President Roosevelt. in a recent statement. said: The American Government has never given Its approval to the white paper. Which is an accurate statement. The President further stated: When future decisions are reached. full justice will be done to those who seek a Jewish national home.
