I call attention to the fact that this question was submitted to 19.979 male Japanese of 17 years of age or older. and of this number 4.850 gave a nonaffirmative answer. in other words. 25.4 percent of theJapanese males born in this country admit that they owe allegiance to Japan. This same question was submitted to 18.486 female Japanese born in the United States who were 17 years of age or older. and 1.487 gave "no" for an answer. Mr. President. I say that any men or women born in the United States who have enjoyed our Nation of liberty and justice and who. in this crisis. thus admit that they owe allegiance to the Japanese Government. are no longer entitled to. call themselves citizens of our country and should be deported immediately after the war.
